A Family Man

I am Russell Bathulia, a proud family man with four children and three grandchildren. My journey from Trinidad to the United States has been driven by my deep-rooted commitment to providing for and supporting my family. As I navigated the challenges of a new life, I honed my skills in electrical and electronic engineering in the Yacht industry, ensuring that my family had a stable and secure future. Today, my children are thriving in Broward County with their own families, a testament to the promise I made to them and their mother over two decades ago.

My belief in the importance of community and helping others has always been at the forefront of my actions. Now, as a proud citizen of the United States, I am ready to extend that commitment to serve my larger family—my community.

A Technician

My evolution in service started off as a humble deckhand on a boat. My bosses saw my potential and positioned me to work as an assistant the onboard engineer. This was the genesis of my career in yacht industry. A few years in, I ventured into construction.

My bruised hands were supported by duct tape, to haul blocks day in day out. I earned an honest dollar while still mindful that I needed to keep growing. I learned to read floor plans, and this presented an opportunity to become a foreman. After years of leading my team, I re-entered yacht industry.

Interacting with clients, working alongside service crews, sharing maintenance insight with enthusiastic first-time buyers, I became a highly requested service man. Another opportunity to expand, I took a leap of faith and began my business which I lead and managed to this day. With hard work and a commitment to relational customer service, I grew into yacht management.

 As a man who honors the opportunities entrusted to him, I have served my clients, the freelancers who I employ and the many other individuals who come to me for advice. I take my commitments seriously, just like this new role to serve my county as the Supervisor of Elections. Through Voter awareness and transparent systems of process, I intend to refine the voting experiencing. 

A Business Owner/ Entrepreneur 

My journey from mastering electrical and electronic engineering skills to thriving in the yacht industry has culminated in the successful opening and operation of my own yacht service and sales company. Every day, I engage with individuals from all walks of life, from the dedicated cleaners of the yachts to the freelance mechanics and specialists who handle heavy equipment, to those eager to embark on their first yacht ownership journey.

Throughout my life, I have upheld a commitment to fair treatment for all. In my eyes, no one person is more important than another. This belief is mirrored in the democratic process of voting, where each person's vote holds equal weight, regardless of their wealth or status. I am passionate about bringing this sense of fairness and inclusivity to Broward County, ensuring that everyone's voice is heard and valued in the electoral process.

An Activated Broward Resident

Broward is one of the most diverse counties in all of Florida and I am so proud to be a part of it. There is so much to learn and experience daily, when we interact with our neighbors. Different ethnic origins, different beliefs, different needs, different desires, that's Broward, that's our world.

Being an active resident with my interaction with my neighbors. I have an ability to deal with people fairly and honestly. Someone that could relate to the workers at all levels. 

I got activated by the counsel, the perspectives and the belief entrusted to me. I made the decision to be a leader for my county, Broward.
